This is a story of girl meets girl, and you should know upfront that this is not a love story. Unless, of course, we refer to the relationship between the audience and the protagonist.

Read the full reviewUltimately Queen is Kangana's triumph. I left the theater thinking about Rani and how the rest of her life would pan out. It's not often you do that with a Bollywood character.
Director Vikas Bahl (Chillar Party) has crafted one of the better coming-of-age tales in recent times.
Read the full reviewQueen is about the metamorphosis of Rani. Director Vikas Bahl, who has also co-written this delightful story, doesnt expend too much energy on plot. Nothing much happens.
... is one of the finest films this year that with all its simplicity strikes a chord with the mass. The movie deserves not one but repeated watch.
Read the full reviewIt' an extraordinary journey of self-discovery, and Rani stays in your heart. Ultimately, it's Kangana Ranaut who makes you root for Rani from the word go.
Read the full reviewUltimately, its Kangana Ranaut who makes you root for Rani from the word go. The best way to describe her fabulous performance is by confessing that I forgot I was watching Kangana.
Read the full reviewThis is a film that is no less tangy than the gol gappas that Rajouri Garden girl Rani Mehra rustles up in an Italian pizzeria in faraway Amsterdam.

Read the full reviewQueen is a well-meaning, well-mannered film that's funny and packs in small, elevating, but palatable messages. It challenges nothing.
Read the full reviewA masterly tapestry of a woman's self-discovery! Queen without doubt belongs to Kangna Ranaut. The character might slightly remind you of Sridevi in English Vinglish, but then, why compare? Rani is a completely fresh character.

Read the full reviewVikas Bahl deserves applause for steering clear of melodrama and sparing us long monologues. I guess he was right to be satisfied with this film; there is really no need to change a single frame.
Read the full reviewSelf discovery is a premise oft explored by the female centric movie makers in India. Vikas Bahl`s `Queen` is one that has been told with sensitivity.

If you miss "Queen", you may never get a chance to know how Rani journeyed into self-actualization. And that would be your loss entirely.
There are two or three things that seem to not be in sync with the rest of the films pitch perfect balance. A few times English lines from one character are repeated (read: spoonfed) in Hindi by another character.

How is the fan score worked out?
It is a Fair Score, not a plain average. Votes from brand new accounts, accounts that have rated only one film, several votes from one network, sudden bursts, and accounts that only ever give 1 or 5 stars count for less. A few early ratings cannot swing it. Nothing is hidden: we show the star bars above.
