Everyone in 'Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana' speaks in Punjabi. Not the kind of exaggerated, colourised 'zubaan' of your average Bollywood potboiler. The everydayness of the language in this likeable film is one of its pleasures.

In the end, Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana is a warm and fuzzy comedy that benefits from the insider's eye that the director casts on this garrulous community, and their love of food and family.

As the slant in the title suggests, this movie is centered in the North. It gets you the flavor of food, Chicken in particular, and love... a triple dose of it. Actually, love is the underlying factor among all the characters.

It takes a lot to make something as fine and simply enjoyable like Luv ShuvTey Chicken Khurana. Though it takes some time for the flavours to set in and brew, excellent acting and music in the film make it worth the wait.

While the film is generally feel-good, Sameer Sharma could've done a much better job. Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana is a small film that serves up a decent dose of entertainment. It's like comfort food.

One plate Chicken Khurana coming up. Everyone's welcome to dig in. Pure vegetarians, hard-core non-veggies and others. Because, this dish is more a slice of life, than a chicken drumstick, really.

How is the fan score worked out?

It is a Fair Score, not a plain average. Votes from brand new accounts, accounts that have rated only one film, several votes from one network, sudden bursts, and accounts that only ever give 1 or 5 stars count for less. A few early ratings cannot swing it. Nothing is hidden: we show the star bars above.
