Has Anirudh left King?
Bollywood Hungama reports that Anirudh Ravichander has stepped away from the film on good terms because of his packed schedule, as carried by ETimes on 31 October. The report says he has left his theme track with Shah Rukh Khan, and that Sachin-Jigar will rework it for the background score and handle the album. Neither the makers nor Anirudh have confirmed this, and Wikipedia still credits him as of 31 October, so treat it as reported.
Why the song has taken time
Fans asked Shah Rukh Khan about the track in September. He said it was not ready because Arijit Singh was still finishing it, and called the singer a perfectionist who takes the time he needs.
Song or teaser on 2 November?
Several outlets earlier reported a teaser for the same date. Variety India’s report points to the first song, with the official trailer coming later and no date given for it. Until the makers confirm their plan, treat both as reported. We will update this page as soon as anything is released.
The other songs in King
Two more song shoots have been reported. Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone are reported to be shooting an ensemble number in Mumbai from 26 October, with Vaibhavi Merchant as choreographer. A separate song with Kareena Kapoor has also been reported. Neither has been confirmed by the makers.
