What we know
Nitesh Tiwari’s two-part retelling of the Ramayana stars Ranbir Kapoor as Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana, with Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman. Part 1 is the first Indian film announced for a worldwide release across Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam on the same day, and Part 2 is slated for Diwali 2027.
It has been the most anticipated Indian film of the year in audience polls, and IMDb’s most anticipated list for July to December 2026 puts it first. This is why Indian Movie Reviews tracks it as the number one film on the Hype Index.
