Sardar 2 movie review: what critics say (13)
What critics say Critics are largely negative: none of the 13 rated critics gave it 3.5 or more, 6 gave it 2 or less. Criticised: the script, the pacing and the action.
The screenplay doesn't get us emotionally invested in the story. There is little suspense in the film.
Read the full reviewSardar 2 does not have a single impressive block. The spy plot offers neither thrills nor a convincing narrative. It is simply a long, tiring, and unintentionally funny mission.
Read the full reviewSardar 2 is another disappointing spy thriller from Indian cinema. It is Karthi's War 2 moment; bland, overlong and thoroughly boring.
Read the full reviewAs with Mithran's films, we get a social awareness message... if it was plastic water bottles in Sardar, here, it's overdose of antibiotics - a message that gets stated twice.
Read the full reviewSardar 2 has interesting spy games, but too many convenient shortcuts and a tedious runtime leave this sequel struggling to match the crisp, engaging original, argues Sreeju Sudhakaran.
Read the full reviewVerdict: Sardar 2 is an over ambitious, over-the-top, logic-less and largely pointless spy thriller packed with dozens of troll-worthy moments. A big scale film with zero impact.

How is the fan score worked out?
It is a Fair Score, not a plain average. Votes from brand new accounts, accounts that have rated only one film, several votes from one network, sudden bursts, and accounts that only ever give 1 or 5 stars count for less. A few early ratings cannot swing it. Nothing is hidden: we show the star bars above.
