Ki & Ka is watchable, even enjoyable in parts. It is comforting to see that someone is making films on themes of gender in today's times where free love is still unconstitutional.

The humour balances out the uneasiness. The joy of celebration temporarily delays the members from facing the music.

Overall, if you had made Teraa Surroor, it would have been a better film. For now, we simply have to accept that it is a terrible waste of the producers' and your money. Stay at home and watch Netflix instead!

Jai Gangaajal lacks the kind of raw emotion or grittiness that his earlier works like Mrityudand and Damul possessed. Rajneeti was a casting coup wasted, Aarakshan dragged, Satyagraha was simplistic and so on!

That's probably the biggest fault of the film - it does not pause - for inspiration, emotion or enlightenment to dawn on the characters.

Neerja rises above for the spirit it portrays - one of bravery, duty and compassion. While it definitely could have been more refined, the film still qualifies for a watch this weekend.

If only Abhishek Kapoor had stuck to the original story, indulging in the complex intertwined tale of expectation, fate, luck and love, Fitoor may have worked perfectly for an Indian audience.

The story arc is very dull and in parts, meaningless, despite borrowing parts from many sports and boxing films we have seen.

Shefali Bhushan has definitely got an enjoyable winner on her cards with 'Jugni'. It's light may not dazzle you, but it sure is a shiny little blob gently floating along the path on a cold wintry night!

There is less melodrama here than your average tinseltown diet. Many scenes, in fact, make you feel patriotic, even if you are not generally prone to such feelings.

While using chess as a backdrop is quite an interesting idea, one wishes the writers and the director made good moves and clocked themselves too.

Chauranga makes an engrossing watch, although one wishes there was more to its story.

The only thing good about the film are the refurbished car-chairs that are strewn around Raj's garage. So, you could check that out if you are really keen.

Bajirao Mastani is a must-watch, but set the right expectations before you go in! Don't look for a complete meal, or even one to fill you up.

The film is good in parts, meh in others and has its share of fun moments, especially when 'the neighbour' (Anuj Choudhry) is objectified by all the women, while he washes his car, shirtless.

Although he charmingly weaves in a lot of elements to break the mold in Indian cinema, there are still elements that struggle to keep it mainstream - the search for romance needed fulfillment, the pain- an antidote.

With some genuine portrayals from Attakathi Dinesh, Raj Pradeesh, Samuthira Kani (who is fast becoming more of an actor than director) and Aadukalam Murugadoss, Visaranai strikes a warning bell that puts you on guard to never go…
