Munjya≈3/5
2024 · Hindi · Hindustan Times
For a supernatural horror comedy, Munjya, directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, blends way too many elements that intrigue you in the beginning, but gradually, end up only as a series of comedic instances that struggle to scare you.
Srikanth≈3.5/5
2024 · Hindi · Hindustan Times
Srikanth, played flawlessly by Rajkummar Rao, says, 'Main hero nahi ban raha, main hero hoon'. Well, that simply encapsulates his standing in the film.
Maidaan≈3.5/5
2024 · Hindi · Hindustan Times
On multiple occasions, Maidaan follows the footsteps of sports dramas where Team India emerges as the underdog, and their unbelievable triumph, clinching a trophy or medal in the final few minutes of a live match, keeps you on…

All said and done, the ladies are just fabulous from start to end. Despite the bumps that come and go, their energy doesn't go down even one bit.

2024 · Hindi · Hindustan Times
Two years later, we have Article 370 directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale – an earnest attempt to show the nuances of events that led to the nullification of Article 370 that granted the state of J&K a special status, which has…
Fighter≈3/5
2024 · Hindi · Hindustan Times
Touted as India’s first aerial action film with Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone playing top combat aviators, Fighter creates an immersive experience and turns out to be equally impressive.
Animal≈2.5/5
2023 · Hindi · Hindustan Times
What I truly enjoyed throughout the film was BGM and the songs being played in the background, especially during the action sequences.
Tiger 3≈3.5/5
2023 · Hindi · Hindustan Times
A disclaimer that I wish makers displayed in the beginning of the film: There's nothing understated in Tiger 3, and that perhaps can be called its USP.
Adipurush≈2.5/5
2023 · Hindi · Hindustan Times
As for the narrative, Adipurush wastes no time in character-building or telling us the back stories of how things transpired in Ayodhya.
Kathal≈3/5
2023 · Hindi · Hindustan Times
In perhaps one of the most bizarre plots you will hear, two prized jackfruits of the Uncle Hong variety go missing from the garden of an MLA. And the entire police force is put on a search mission for the same.
Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar≈2.5/5
2023 · Hindi · Hindustan Times
The characters are confident and gorgeous onscreen, and that's what Ranjan makes the most of by showing countless close-up shots of them - crying, laughing, kissing or shamelessly ogling at each other.
Gulmohar≈3.5/5
2023 · Hindi · Hindustan Times
The film follows the family's last four days together, before they move out of their 32-year-old ancestral home.

Audiences might not categorise Rocketry: The Nambi Effect as a mass commercial potboiler and only fit for festivals, but it's time you set yourself free from these expectations for this film is definitely worth all your time and…

The film starts with a childhood love story in school between Kukoo Saini (Varun Dhawan) and Naina Sharma (Kiara Advani) with Naina's brother Gurpeeet (Maniesh Paul) unknowingly playing the wingman.
Radhe Shyam≈2.5/5
2022 · Telugu · Hindustan Times
By now, I was convinced that Radha Krishna Kumar's Radhe Shyam's unique plot will serve us with something never-seen-before. Well, this is the least Prabhas fans would expect after a masterpiece like Baahubali.
2022 · Hindi · Hindustan Times
There's a scene in the trailer of Gangubai Kathiawadi where Alia Bhatt's character is seen delivering a powerful 'bhashan' before a huge gathering.
Badhaai Do≈4/5
2022 · Hindi · Hindustan Times
Bollywood's fixation with humour to narrate stories on taboo subjects seems to be working pretty well so far.
83≈3/5
2021 · Hindi · Hindustan Times
I remember when the 1983 World Cup legends visited The Kapil Sharma show amid heavy buzz.
Tadap≈3/5
2021 · Hindi · Hindustan Times
A true-blue commercial potboiler and having no qualms about it, Tadap, to a large extent, satisfies the cinema goer inside you and at the same time, leaves you asking for more.
2021 · Hindi · Hindustan Times
To sum up, Bunty Aur Babli 2 had all the right ingredients to serve a perfect dish, but too much mixing left it with no great after taste. Such fine actors look wasted in a half-hearted script.
Sooryavanshi≈3/5
2021 · Hindi · Hindustan Times
Finally releasing after 19 months, Sooryavanshi is nothing short of a celebration of mainstream Hindi cinema, bringing back whistles and cheers to a theatre after a long time.
Roohi≈2.5/5
2021 · Hindi · Hindustan Times
If nothing else, the two dance numbers--Nadiyon Paar in the opening credits and Panghat at the end--could make Roohi worth your while.
2020 · Hindi · Hindustan Times
A serious subject doesn’t need a serious treatment -- a fact that Ayushmann Khurrana’s Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan not just understands but revels in.
Love Aaj Kal≈2.5/5
2020 · Hindi · Hindustan Times
First thought that comes to your mind after watching Imtiaz Ali’s Valentine’s Day offering, Love Aaj Kal is what could have prompted the filmmaker to tell a decade old story again, with modern characters who are messed up…
Good Newwz≈3.5/5
2019 · Hindi · Hindustan Times
All in all, Good Newwz has the right mix of ingredients and makes for a timely entertainer in this season of cheer. Not preachy or over the top, this light-hearted comic caper is the perfect way to end the year with.
