3D or 2D?
Most people are choosing 3D. Sacnilk’s late-October estimate put 3D shows at about 62% of the day 1 advance gross, IMAX 3D at about 21%, 2D at about 9% and 4DX 3D at about 4%. In other words, 2D is a small share of shows, so check the format before you pay.
Is IMAX worth it?
IMAX is where demand is highest. Sacnilk reported that IMAX 3D brought in nearly 24% of the day 1 gross from only 3.4% of shows, and many IMAX shows sold out. Prices are high too: reports put the average IMAX ticket around Rs 1,500, and some premium seats sold for more than Rs 2,700.
How long is the English version?
