Paisa movie review: what critics say (5)
What critics say Critics are mostly positive with reservations: 1 of 5 rated critics gave it 3.5 or more.
Overall, Paisa is a good commercial entertainer, but it is not upto the mark of Krishna Vamsi’s previous ventures. Nani’s performance is the saving grace in the film.
Read the full reviewApart from Nani’s performance there is nothing much to talk about Paisa. Krishna Vamsi failed execution let the film down. There are few impressive moments in the film, but those are not enough to hold the film together.
His brand of cinema borders on the grotesque and the filmmaker sticks to his strengths and whips up a rather indulgently entertaining experience. Nani’s performance as the loveable rogue is easily the biggest USP of the movie.
Read the full reviewthis film tends to give a d©j vu feeling since we have already seen something similar in Swamy Ra Ra but there are those flashes of brilliance that come from KV which is his unique signature style.
A Paisa based film is usually about a underdog, who gets big amount due to his luck and struggles to save the money, Paisa is the same. What it lacks though is the excitement of Shivaji, the emotions of Swami Ra Ra.

How is the fan score worked out?
It is a Fair Score, not a plain average. Votes from brand new accounts, accounts that have rated only one film, several votes from one network, sudden bursts, and accounts that only ever give 1 or 5 stars count for less. A few early ratings cannot swing it. Nothing is hidden: we show the star bars above.
