Malang movie review: what critics say (15)
What critics say Critics are divided: 4 of 15 rated critics gave it 3.5 or more, 5 gave it 2 or less. Criticised: the script.
Malang is far too long at nearly 2 hours and 15 minutes. The unconvincing plot simply doesnt justify the indulgence.
Read the full reviewA whole lot of time is wasted setting up the story; far less is assigned to unravelling the mystery or providing adequate backstory to all the characters.
Read the full reviewMohit Suri doesn't entirely succeed in extracting the juiciness of his premise and the idiosyncrasies of his characters.
Read the full reviewJust like the non-linear Malang, I don’t know where to start its review. Its plot, narrative, characters, climax and multitude of twists and turns are a heady mix and honestly, too much to take at one go.
Read the full reviewThe high-pitched aesthetics of this film can be overlooked, but not the unsubstantiated violence that rises from strange notions of misogyny and masculinity

How is the fan score worked out?
It is a Fair Score, not a plain average. Votes from brand new accounts, accounts that have rated only one film, several votes from one network, sudden bursts, and accounts that only ever give 1 or 5 stars count for less. A few early ratings cannot swing it. Nothing is hidden: we show the star bars above.
