Looop Lapeta movie review: what critics say (7)
What critics say Critics are mostly positive with reservations: 3 of 6 rated critics gave it 3.5 or more, 1 gave it 2 or less. Praised: the script and the performances.
A film whose premise is as slender needs to be fast and furious. Looop Lapeta takes much too long to warm up, and gets into its stride only after the interval.

Read the full reviewLooop Lapeta is a far cry from conventional Hindi cinema, and while I would personally prefer to watch rooted Indian stories and home-grown experimentation, as remakes go, this one is certainly worth a watch.
Read the full reviewLooop Lapeta, shot by cinematographer Yash Khanna, necessarily relies overly on artifice to narrate its mind-bending story of a duo in a bind.
Read the full reviewThe music and animation department, too play a crucial role in making this film as trippy, twisty and funny as planned.
Read the full reviewAll said and done, Looop Lapeta is a lot more than being an adaptation of yet another international film. It not just touches a technical peak but is also backed by an extremely strong story & memorable performances.

How is the fan score worked out?
It is a Fair Score, not a plain average. Votes from brand new accounts, accounts that have rated only one film, several votes from one network, sudden bursts, and accounts that only ever give 1 or 5 stars count for less. A few early ratings cannot swing it. Nothing is hidden: we show the star bars above.
