Crazy Cukkad Family movie review: what critics say (11)
What critics say Critics are largely negative: none of the 11 rated critics gave it 3.5 or more, 8 gave it 2 or less. Praised: the direction. Criticised: the script.
A situation like this is ripe for black humour, and a sharp comedy of manners. There are moments when the film seems to get it, but then squanders the chance, and gets back to being broad and obvious. And dull.

Read the full reviewThe narrative hinges itself on satire, however, the melodrama towards the end dilutes the humour; that could have been avoided. That apart, Ritesh Menons direction is confident and his portrayal of characters, engaging.

How is the fan score worked out?
It is a Fair Score, not a plain average. Votes from brand new accounts, accounts that have rated only one film, several votes from one network, sudden bursts, and accounts that only ever give 1 or 5 stars count for less. A few early ratings cannot swing it. Nothing is hidden: we show the star bars above.
