Bandar Movie Review

But once Bandar ends, one gets a sense this is a film that refuses to give easy answers.

The leaps that the film makes, even those that are in the right direction, are inconsistent in terms of both arc and outcome. If not a mess, Bandar is a bit of a tangle that is hard to wrap one’s head and heart around.

To sum it up, Bandar is a decent film that entertains and makes you ponder, much like many of Anurag Kashyap’s works. It is gripping, engaging and, most importantly, feels real.

Anurag Kashyap’s latest film Bandar is not just a film; it is an experience in itself that will leave you shaken. The film follows the journey of Sameer Mehra, an aspiring actor trying to establish himself in the film industry…

The first half is gripping and relentlessly engaging. The second half, unfortunately, circles the same ideas repeatedly and loses momentum. The prison remains fascinating, but the narrative starts feeling trapped within it.

On the whole, Bandar is very realistic but it is not engaging or entertaining.
